Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt, James Gardner - Lead Instructor and Advisor

      James began his Jiu Jitsu career in Utah under Prof. Sauer in 1997. For a brief time he moved to Southern California where he earned his Blue Belt from Pedro Carvalho. He then moved back to Utah where he continued his training with Prof. Sauer. In the summer of 2000 James trained with Fabio Santos in San Diego, California. Once again, James moved back to Utah where he has remained with the exception of a Winter spent training with Cassio Werneck in Sacramento, California. James received his Black Belt from Prof. Sauer in 2005.

       Chris is the lead jiu-jitsu coach of Pound For Pound Jiu-Jitsu.  Chris began training jiu-jitsu when he was 18years old. He got his blue belt under Peter Iacavazzi within seven months. Chris has been training under James Gardner for over two years now. Chris is very proficient in both competition and instructing. He will be moving to Salt Lake City, Utah on August 30 2008 in order to more rapidly advance his jiu-jitsu skills under the direct tutelage of James Gardner and several other blackbelts.

Big John has a diverse background in Martial Arts that began while assigned with the US Army. He has been exposed to many different styles throughout his life, but has found a home and passion with Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.  John holds a Brown Belt in Judo and in May 2009 earned his Purple Belt in Jiu Jitsu from Pedro Sauer Black Belt, James Gardner. John has spent the past 8 years training in Brazian Jiu-Jitsu and looks forward to helping others achieve their goals with the Pedro Sauer Team in Billings under James Gardner.
